Château Clarke, Baron Edmond de Rothschild, Cave Privée, Listrac-Médoc, AOC, dry, red 0.75L
Product description
Each year a tiny part of the harvest is bottled under the name of "Cave Privée" before aging in the family cellar. The origins of the Château Clarke estate date back to the 12th century when the Cistercian monks of the Vertheuil Abbey planted the first vines. Much more recently, the knight Tobie Clarke purchased the land that would permanently bear his name in 1818. Then, after being repeatedly handed down and finally sold, the property was bought in 1973 by the Baron Edmond de Rothschild.

Tasting Notes
Beautiful intense crimson colour with a purple rim. Intense and dominated by aromas of fresh fruits (blackcurrant, cherry, plum) with slight notes of vanilla and spice (clove). The attack is full and round, with fine and dense tannins, which is the signature of a great vintage. The strong natural acidity reinforces the freshness and offers a nice persistence. It is a very powerful wine with a that has excellent cellaring potential.
