Over 300 years ago in a small hamlet called Bégadan in the Médoc, Jean-Jacques d’Aux endeavoured to put his land to good use by turning former marshland into vineyards. The first vines were thus planted on an estate that later became emblematic, and in 1720 the first grapes were harvested by Simon-Pierre d’Aux and his teams, the second generation of the Seigneurs d’Aux. This noble family history of 6 successive generations of “builders”, until 1835, today gives full meaning to the Cuvée des Seigneurs, which bears the coat of arms of its 14th-century ancestors, the Aux de Lescout family. This special cuvée pays tribute to the forerunners and founders of the vineyards at Château Patache d’Aux and its exceptional terroir in the north of Médoc."
