Bei BenRiach mälzen wir unsere Gerste mit Torf aus dem Landesinneren. Er stammt aus der obersten Bodenschicht und ist dadurch weniger schwer und ölig als der durch das Meer gesättigte Torf aus Islay. Infolgedessen erhält unser Whiskey einen rauchigen Charakter ohne die Jod haltigen Noten eines Islay-Malts.
