Product description

In 2003 May de Lencquesaing, the then owner of Chateau Pichon Longville Comtesse de Lalande, purchased land on the historic Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, South Africa. This piece of land was originally granted by Simon van der Stel in 1682, and today is the home of Glennelly Estate, a thriving winery that best utilizes the soils and microclimate of the Stellenbosch valley to produce world renowned classical wines.

Tasting Notes

Pure, bright and fresh straw colour. The nose has tones of butterscotch, vanilla and apple pie with hints of pear drop. The palate is lush with poise and balance. The wine has comforting flavours of citrus and stone fruit which lead the way to a long round textured finish. Best served with bold white meat like chicken or turkey, and great with rich seafood like urchin and mussels.
