Product description

Located in central Burgundy, in the Southern Côte de Beaune, the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation is one of the jewels of Burgundy's viticultural heritage. The slopes face east/south-east and the soil is composed of clay and marl overlying hard Jurassic limestone which lends this wine its lovely minerality. The grapes are handpicked in 25-kg crates, sorted once they arrive at the winery and are gravity-fed into tanks.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant with ruby red colour. The first nose reveals intense and subtle aromas of candied fruits, blackcurrant, and smoky notes. This wine features good structure and a nice minerality typical of the terroir, with fruits and matured tannins. The final is very nice, long and aromatic. Ideal for accompanying red meat, dishes cooked in wine sauce, game and light cheeses.
Serve at 17°C and drink now or lay for 2 to 5 years.
