The available vintage may differ from the one shown in the image.‘It comes from the Palatinate, specifically from Edesheim, south of Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The vines are located in the Edesheimer Rosengarten vineyard in the south of the village. This dry Dornfelder comes from the very good 2022 vintage and is made 100% from the Dornfelder grape variety, which was initially very popular in Germany but was then unjustly neglected for a long time.
The alcohol content is 13.5%. The wine is ready to drink now, but should be decanted into a carafe first. However, the wine can also be decanted ‘easily’: Simply pour into a glass and leave the rest of the bottle slightly closed (with the cork only slightly open) for a while - the residual air in the bottle aerates and opens the wine. It can also be stored in the cellar until 2026 without hesitation and will then gain even more elegance and suppleness.’
