Modern interpretation of the ancient appassimento process thanks to the exclusive MASI expertise. Long ageing potential: 10-15 years. The name Grandarella comes from the process of drying a grape «berry» (grano) on a traditional drying rack (arele).

Tasting Notes

Deep, dark, opaque red colour with violet reflections. Ripe fruit on the nose, plums and berry fruit – blueberries and blackberries in particular – spicy hints of cloves and vanilla. Full-bodied with good acidity, soft tannins and a warming touch of alcohol. Ripe fruit and spices come through on the palate too. Long and powerful finish
