In addition to the usual casks, casks that previously contained port wine, sherry or Sauternes are also used to mature this German whisky.

Tasting Notes
Color: Darker golden yellow. Odor: Prunes and roasted chestnuts, plus moss and spruce and a hint of chocolate. Taste: Tart herbs, but also cloves, nutty and fresh on the palate. Aftertaste: Long and intense, slightly dry.
