Sandalwood gives off a very characteristic creamy, ambery and slightly sweet scent. The precious wood’s leathery facet is bolstered by a velvety suede accord. Clean, polished cedar structures these voluptuous, comforting notes. Wisps of precious incense accent this peaceful atmosphere of artistry and craftsmanship. THE INSPIRATION When the Saint Laurent studios moved into the palatial 17th-century private mansion previously known as the Hôtel de Sénecterre, the event marked the return of the house to its historical roots on the Left Bank of Paris. Designed by architect Thomas Gobert -- the building planner of King of France, Louis XIV – the building had previously been a Ministry. In this place of creativity, the collections are imagined, designed, and come to life.
